The current salary range for this position is $78,200-$123,400 (9-month academic year salary). However, off-scale salary and other components of pay, which would yield compensation that is higher than this range, are offered to meet competitive conditions.

Position description The Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for a faculty position at the assistant professor level. We will consider creative and energetic candidates who show promise or accomplishment in research, teaching, and mentoring. Preference will be given to candidates in the broadly defined field of inorganic chemistry, but candidates in all areas of chemistry are encouraged to apply. The person offered a position on our faculty would have an opportunity to interact with a diverse group of colleagues in the Department of Chemistry, who value inclusion and welcome collaboration.
