As the Vice President of Engineering & Quality, you will report directly into our President and be a part of our Senior Leadership team supporting the direction of the organization. You will oversee, lead and drive both sustaining and new projects/programs. This will include providing oversight, technical direction, management, and leadership for our entire engineering organization in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Your day to day will include:
- Providing strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of Engineering, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborating with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on engineering & quality projects and systems.
- Contributing to business development by participating in customer meetings, providing proposal inputs, and identifying engineers to support conceptual design studies.
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Ensuring that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, and engineering programs are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
- Establishing, communicating, and implementing engineering- and quality-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing teams and complex organizations. Proven ability to build and maintain engineering teams that can execute challenging projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving and organizational abilities, and a track record of making sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar industry-related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of industry-related progressive experience within Engineering and/or Manufacturing organizations, including 3+ years in upper management required.
- You will have demonstrated experience in managing a complex organization with multiple layers, as well as working cross-functionally within an organization.
- Extensive experience with both sustaining and prototype engineering, with an emphasis on speed and agility.
- Experience in overseeing and delivering products for Commercial and Military industries both domestically and globally.
- Experience in aerospace, medical device or similar highly regulated industry required.
Nice to have, but not necessary:
- Experience leading strategic planning, growth initiatives and/or operational enhancement engagements with major clients in diverse technology, innovation and/or manufacturing driven industries.
- Master’s Degree or similar.
- P&L Experience.
- Experience in a complex global business environment.
The target wage/salary range for this role is $200,000.00 + annual bonus and stock options, total compensation will depend upon the incumbent’s education and experience.
