About the role:
We are seeking a Director, Single Cell Product Marketing to lead the global downstream commercial efforts of our Single Cell product portfolio. This position will be responsible for leading the marketing strategy and execution for new and on-market products across key segments and research areas aligned with and supporting achievement of strategic and revenue goals. A strong understanding of customers, competitive landscape, and segments must be leveraged to drive strategy, positioning, and messaging in all product marketing and sales enablement activities. In close partnership with product and regional marketing, full funnel, omnichannel campaigns and tactics will be executed, performance reported, and programs refined to support revenue targets. Strong cross-functional collaboration will be required to drive alignment and coordination of org-wide marketing and sales activities supporting single cell.
What you will be doing:
- Own and drive global commercial marketing efforts for Chromium product line; prioritization, execution, and efficiency will be imperative for success.
- Lead and execute Chromium growth and retention strategies for on-market and new products.
- Lead and drive Chromium product line customer segmentation, positioning, and messaging.
- Ensure market information is acquired, competitive activity is monitored, and customer needs are identified. Identify and translate customer needs into marketing positioning and activities.
- Execute and report performance of full funnel, omnichannel campaigns with an iterative data-driven approach to all campaign tactics with close collaboration with other departments.
- Drive a high level of interaction and engagement between other departments (e.g., Sales, Technical Support, and R&D) to ensure coordination of activities and alignment on common goals.
- Generate business plans in partnership with product management and sales to build sales funnel and growth strategies in prioritized customer segments and support go-to-market and sustaining marketing efforts.
- Ensure market information is acquired, competitive activity is monitored, and customer needs are identified in an ongoing manner, quickly implementing actions to address key issues or opportunities identified.
- Create sales enablement and customer-facing tools/assets in close collaboration with product management.
- Deep understanding and ability to implement "best practices" in brand and product marketing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in Life Sciences.
- Experience in the NGS space.
- A minimum of 8 years of Product Marketing experience and at least 3 years of experience in the NGS Life Science industry.
- Experience project managing activities with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to build credibility and relationships across functions and levels.
- Ability to communicate and influence internal and external audiences effectively, using both oral and written communication skills.
- High level of organization, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- MS or PhD highly preferred.
- MBA with emphasis in marketing is preferred.
- Market development and marketing communications experience highly desired.
- Exposure to the single cell market is a plus.
