Responsibilities
- Establish vision and profitable growth strategy for the Oncology franchise, including both organic and acquired growth in the short term (1 year), medium term (3 - 5 years), and long term (5 - 10 years).
- Lead and guide the organization to ensure appropriate accountability for key performance objectives, with a focus on maximizing profitable revenue growth.
- Evaluate the therapy development and companion diagnostic landscape to identify needs and opportunities.
- Initiate product development plans to enhance the company's competitiveness in genetic risk assessment, cancer screening, cancer diagnosis and prognosis, and disease monitoring.
- Develop strategies for cancer risk assessment to participate in MCED.
- Understand the competitive landscape to anticipate market segments and technology trends.
- Achieve planned financial and operational targets.
- Lead franchise initiatives such as new test solutions, payer advocacy, and customer experience improvements.
- Understand customer segment needs and implement growth strategies with Commercial and Marketing.
- Drive opportunity assessment, business case development, and successful launch of new solutions.
- Establish strategic pricing approach and ensure viability of access and coverage.
- Partner with Health Plan and Billing teams for appropriate reimbursement.
- Build and manage a coalition of external partners to increase thought leadership.
- Develop local growth strategies with Regional Leadership.
- Develop strategic direction with the Oncology Specialty Sales team.
- Leverage Marketing to drive promotional strategies that meet external needs.
- Drive capture of downstream testing from positive cancer diagnoses.
- Drive profitable growth in partnership with functions and Procurement.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of professionals, ensuring accountability for high performance.
Education:
- BA / BS undergraduate degree required. Major in sciences. MBA Preferred.
Desired Experience:
- 10-15 years of progressive leadership and direct responsibility of Oncology business/portfolio or related business.
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in senior level Product Management or General Management.
