RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a senior architect and developer on a team providing design and development support for a broad range of Microsoft Azure Cloud-based enterprise business solutions to The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Habitat Conservation.
- Support the creation of an overarching approach and roadmap for the development, sequencing, and integration of a sustainable suite of enterprise business tools.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform’s architecture, capabilities, implementation requirements, and integrations.
- Apply vision, experience, and knowledge of concepts and industry best practices and procedures to design architecture and application solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and other tools available in the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
- Design effective solutions that integrate disparate data into a common data model using Azure Cloud data management solutions including Dataverse, data connectors, data flows, workflows, Power Query and Power BI data models.
- Integrate understanding of Microsoft software licensing costs to develop cost effective, scaleable, and sustainable solutions.
- Integrate Microsoft Active Directory functions with human resources management applications and business functions.
- Translate complex business requirements to effective and practical outcomes.
- Provide guidance on the configuration and management of Power Platform tenants and environments.
- Provide senior development support in building Power Platform model-driven apps, canvas apps, workflows, data flows, power query M-code, application customizations, and integrations with other systems.
- Provide guidance, support, and direction to junior developers.
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues as they arise.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience in development and solutions architecting in the Microsoft Azure Cloud Environment.
- BS/BA degree.
- Microsoft Azure certifications desired, but not required.
- High level of expertise and experience in developing enterprise business tools using Power Platform and other tools in the Microsoft Azure Cloud Environment.
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform tools and capabilities.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint and roadmap for development.
- Experience building solutions using technologies such as Power Apps (canvas and model driven apps), Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Dynamics 365 CRM, SharePoint Online.
- Experience with RPA, and Power Virtual Agents desired but not required.
- Experience with CI/CD for Power Platform solutions.
- Experience designing, architecting, and developing within Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform.
- Knowledge of federal Microsoft licensing models and cost implications of solutions alternatives.
- Knowledge of systems integration tools, methods, and best-practices available to meet requirements described above.
Overview
We are seeking a Power Platform Solutions Architect to join our team supporting NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Office of Habitat Conservation (OHC) in Silver Spring, MD.
OHC is moving forward with a multi-year reorganization and consolidation of business tools, enterprise data, and business intelligence with the goal of supporting complex and growing program needs. TekSynap will provide support services to ensure a level of continuity throughout this process that includes planning, project management, solutions design, business analysis, user support and development support and maintenance.
