As a Cellular Modem RF Software Engineering Program Manager, you will be at the heart of our ground-breaking cellular baseband modems to meet performance, quality and schedule requirements for Apple products. This role demands excellent interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally within a dynamic engineering environment. Partnering with engineers and managers from our hardware and software engineering teams, will be key to your success in this role. You will deliver executive communication and presentations to support the decision-making process, clearly and effectively communicate overall program status, while identifying and resolving key bottlenecks and interdependencies of sophisticated projects. Ideally, you will also have validated project management experience in some aspect of RF Software development, integration and pre / post-silicon RF verification, and cellular RF features.
Key Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability with a track record of hands-on program management, project management or engineering management in the FW/SW domain.
- Relevant proven experience in cellular modem Layer 1 / RF Software development and/or RF verification.
- Good understanding about Development Lifecycle for embedded Software.
- Knowledge of cellular modem baseband building blocks and software layers.
- Good understanding of RF transceiver and RF front end components control for cellular modems.
- Knowledge of RF Cellular major features, real-time requirements and associated challenges.
- Experience in wireless standards a significant plus (GSM/UMTS/4G LTE/5G-NR/5G-mmW).
- Ability to quickly establish and manage sophisticated multi-functional relationships in a dynamic engineering environment.
- Creative problem solver with ability to lead technical teams and multi-functional groups against plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at senior management level.
- Experience demonstrating strong presentation skills.
Description
- Own the development of Cellular RF Software controlling the RF transceivers and Front-end components in real-time full signaling mode.
- Track execution for RF SW plans across project phases from implementation and pre-silicon validation to cellular feature bring-up.
- Manage maturization of RF Software through cellular modem system testing, field testing, interoperability testing, and production ramp.
- Drive and report RF Software activities for development, validation, non-regression testing, release management, improvements and defect resolution.
- Anticipate risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Deliver presentations supporting executive reviews including project status, key metrics, top risks and issues.
Education & Experience
BS and 10+ years relevant industry experience.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $152,400.00 and $268,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
