Job Scope
The Sr. Product Manager, Global Marketing - Point of Care will be responsible and accountable for the product management activities for the assigned portfolios at Luminex. The Sr. PM will support the day-to-day portfolio needs, and the execution of the product line strategies, in line with the strategic and tactical marketing plan in order to meet the yearly revenue and profitability goals. With global responsibility for ensuring appropriate commercial readiness strategies leading to reaching our global sales targets, the Sr. PM will be responsible for collecting VOC, generating product requirements, developing business cases, and leading the marketing efforts for new product development projects. Additionally, the Sr. PM will be responsible for providing marketing input to the manufacturing inventory management process, ensuring product performance and supply, and working with regional marketing to execute marketing campaigns.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- The Sr. PM will, as part of the Molecular Diagnostic marketing team, partner with the Regional Marketing teams to execute strategies that drive revenue and share growth, and defend against key competitors. The Sr. PM will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure internal operational efficiency. A key component of this role will be working closely with customers gathering VOC (“voice of the customer”) in order to define future product and line extension opportunities.
- Overall product management responsibility, including all product lifecycle activities, launch planning and execution, marketing communication content generation, documentation, and pricing activities.
- Develop Customer Requirements, Business Cases and associated documentation to support the Design Control process for New Product introduction.
- Provide strategic direction and messaging to Regional Marketing to develop key tactics (campaigns, collaborations) for both the North American and ex-US regions.
- Work with Marketing Communications to develop strategy and messaging.
- Coordinate with internal support groups as needed to resolve product performance issues and resulting customer communication efforts.
- Develop product line strategies for the portfolio with an understanding of the market dynamics, competitive landscape and product positioning.
- Supporting the broader Luminex strategic marketing team on assignments or projects as required.
- Generate the strategic marketing plans and forecasts required to support the 1 year revenue planning and 5 year portfolio planning process.
- Participate in the development and presentation of material for the executive team, the Strategy and Development Committee and the Board of Directors.
Education, Experience, And Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in a related scientific or healthcare field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Business or Marketing degree preferred.
- Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- A proven track record of success in previous sales or marketing experience in a related diagnostic, medical device or pharmaceutical industry role.
- Diagnostic product marketing experience, preferably with understanding and knowledge of the US infectious disease and genetic diagnostics market, with strong experience developing customer and product requirements.
- Preference for sales, sales management and business development experience.
- Demonstrated marketing performance excellence with portfolio planning; lifecycle management; communication planning; market research, segmentation and analytics; new product launches and corresponding collateral materials; and product development from concept/identified need thru commercialization.
- Good presentation skills, including delivery to Executive level teams, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills & ability.

- 30% 10% international travel.
