Position Summary
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Product Marketing Manager focusing on Competitive Intelligence. Reporting into the Director, Product Marketing your work will directly influence product development and go-to-market strategies, ensuring our product positioning is compelling, differentiated, and effectively communicated to our target audiences. As the owner of our Competitive Intelligence programs, you’ll also lead sales enabling sellers, guiding product teams, and ensuring Velocity Global’s category-leading differentiation in the market is consistent across customer touch points.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own a comprehensive Competitive Intelligence program that includes regular market research and competitive analysis.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs, providing them with the necessary tools, information, and training to effectively compete in the market, counter competitive threats, and win key deals across our Ideal Customer Profile.
- Own the coordination and execution of initiatives that enhance competitive positioning and differentiation in the market, including developing sales training materials, building internal reports, and driving relevant customer campaigns.
- Engage directly with customers, analysts, sales, product, engineering, and other teams at Velocity Global to understand and synthesize competitive advantages and disadvantages to support strategic go-to-market decisions.
- Collaborate with product management to understand and define product requirements and roadmap, and to provide the most up-to-date market and competitive insights to guide product launches.
- Craft compelling messaging and positioning documents that clearly differentiate our products in the market.
- Develop a range of marketing materials, including white papers, case studies, blog posts, and sales enablement tools, that articulate the value proposition of our solutions.
- Manage our instance of Klue.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, competitive intelligence, or a similar role within the B2B SaaS, HR technology; or at least 3+ years of relevant experience in management consulting.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Thrive in cross-functional environments and can effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and teams.
- Are incredibly organized and efficient—you take on complex projects and own them from start to finish.
