Job Summary
Morae Packaging is looking for a Director of Sales, reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer. This critical role plays a pivotal role in driving growth and expansion for theorganization. This leadership position is responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, forging keypartnerships, and driving revenue growth through new business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategyaligned with the company's objectives to achieve revenue and market share growth.
- Package Development & Engineering: Provide technical feasibility and cost assessments forpackage design turnovers. Support innovation initiatives to build upon the library ofcomponents.
- Create quotations for bespoke custom and stock packaging.
- Market Analysis: Analyze industry trends and market dynamics to identify emergingopportunities and threats. Stay informed about competitor activities and market shifts.
- Client Partnership Development: Establish and maintain relationships with potential partners,clients, and key stakeholders. Collaborate on mutually beneficial business ventures. Deliverbest-in-class technical guidance for virtual and in-person client-facing meetings.
- Sales Growth: By identifying and pursuing new packaging business opportunities, drive revenuegrowth. Foster a culture of sales excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Product and Service Expansion: Evaluate and recommend new product or service offerings thatalign with market demands and company capabilities.
- Team Leadership: Partner with a high-performing business development team, providingsupport, mentorship, and guidance.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team, highlightingkey performance metrics and progress toward growth goals.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, packaging/material science, or a related field
- A proven track record of at least 7-10 years in technical sales, business development, package development, and/or package engineering.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment and make data-driven decisions.
- Willingness to travel as required to establish and maintain business relationships.
