Job Summary:
Coach USA, one of the leading providers of ground passenger transportation and mobility solutions in North America is seeking a Director of Sales Support for the Business Development team. The Director, Sales Support will have the responsibility of coordinating all phases of the company’s proposal process in response to commercial requests for proposals (RFPs) and commercial marketing for all Coach USA operating entities; including but not limited to strategy, project management, preparing and writing proposals and presentations, developing, and managing related content library and coordinating the company’s commercial marketing efforts. The selected candidate will demonstrate efficiency and be able to function and make decisions independently. A proven self-starter, the ability to meet deadlines, a commitment to teamwork and detailed follow-through will be the key to success in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The Director, Sales Support duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead commercial proposal efforts for multiple entities, delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
- Manages, develops, reviews and edits proposal input from various internal stakeholders, typically involving contribution from Business Development, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations, Safety and Maintenance.
- Manages proposal automation system; develops and maintains re-use libraries to ensure related content is accurate and current.
- Supporting role in execution of commercial marketing efforts; including related inbound/outbound marketing campaigns.
- Supporting role in development of other marketing tools such as web-based content, marketing campaigns, sales collateral, blogs, etc.
- Participates in strategic planning that includes evaluating customer technical feedback, marketing intelligence, identifying market trends and key issues, developing win strategies.
- Documents and develops actions to produce process improvements and attain higher win-rates.
- Provides final quality control check, including proofreading for grammar, RFP compliance and conformance to established strategies and plans.
- Drafts operational solutions, strategies and themes that are easily understandable, readable, and compelling.
- Ability to collaborate with project executives, managers and relevant consultants in the proposal preparation and writing process.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks and challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines; possess strong organizational skills.
- Administers and updates CRM system.
- Strong and effective communication, writing and computer skills are essential.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business, Marketing, etc.) preferred, other degrees such as Communications, Journalism and English are acceptable.
- Must be able to work autonomously.
- Ideal candidates should possess 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Motorcoach / Transportation industry.
- Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite including Design (Photoshop and Illustrator a plus).
- Strong understanding of marketing principles within the Motorcoach / Transportation industry.
- Experience with designing marketing material and related sales collateral.
- Travel 5%.
