Your new role
As our new Lead Consultant, you will work with a broad range of Ramboll staff to provide critical, quality reviews of analytical data used in assessing contaminated sites and developing sustainable remedies.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Perform data verification and validation of environmental analytical data in various matrices (air, soil, water) using USEPA and regional guidance.
- Perform critical review of laboratory analytical data packages.
- Deliver and be accountable for technical assignments involving data quality assessments to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical support to project teams working with a diverse range of industry clients on a broad portfolio of projects.
- Utilize your professional decision-making, communication, time management and technical skills.
- Collaborate across the organization with internal project teams, as well as with outside consultants and laboratories.
Your new team
You will be part of Ramboll America’s Health Sciences Spearhead and will work across all of Ramboll’s Environment & Health practice areas, such as water, contaminated sites, and air quality, developing a broad network of colleagues. This position can be based in one of multiple offices to create opportunities for social engagement, networking, and mentoring, and may include the option for hybrid work. This position does not require travel.
About you

These include:
- B.S. or B.A. in Chemistry or related field required.
- 1+ years working in an environmental analytical laboratory required.
- Familiarity with USEPA analytical Methods especially SW-846-series methods required.
- Knowledge of the principles and standards of scientific study, field investigation, sampling, experimentation, quality assurance of chemical measurements, research, and documentation.
- Understanding of flow of data from field collection, shipping, lab check-in, lab analysis, lab reporting.
- Ability to monitor a data inbox to maintain communication with laboratories, log data into tracking systems, and communicate back to laboratories if there are issues with data quality.
- Experience preparing project specific quality assurance project plans (QAPPs) and sampling and analysis plans (SAPs).
- Ability to complete Level II and Level IV data reviews, complete documentation, and add necessary qualifier flags to results.
- Experience with reviewing laboratory analytical standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Understanding of Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs), Level II and Level IV laboratory deliverables.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Possess strong interpersonal and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively with team members as well as independently.
- Must be well organized, have the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time, deliver on time and on budget.
- Work closely with internal Project Managers to keep them up to date on the status of deliverables from laboratories and third-party data validators.

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $87,000 - $95,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
