General Summary:
The Project Director is responsible for planning, analysis, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that support BCH’s departmental operational and strategic goals. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure goals and objectives are achieved within specified time frames and budget constraints. Manages the strategic aspects of large engagements and mitigates any associated risks. Reviews high-level deliverables and ensures that engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures are conducted for all projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure goals and objectives are met within specified time frames and budget constraints. Provides direction and guidance to team members in the creation of project deliverables.
- Reviews project proposals or plans to assess time frames, funding limitations, procedures for project completion, staffing requirements, and allocation of available resources across different project phases.
- Establishes work plans and staffing for each phase of the project, arranging for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Oversees the overall quality and management of major projects or programs.
- Coaches and mentors project team members, providing guidance and addressing performance issues. Conducts objective evaluations and offers timely, actionable feedback for development.
- Manages research and project management for departmental or institutional projects throughout all phases of the project life cycle. Develops tools and processes while providing ongoing support.
- Serves as a resource and offers appropriate consultation to other organizational departments and leadership.
Education:
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree: Preferred
Area of Study Required: Administration or related field.
Required Work Experience:
8 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Work Experience:
3 Years of experience managing multiple highly complex projects.
Qualifications:
Ability to effectively manage multiple demands, projects, and proposals simultaneously within the assigned department/division, as well as to persuade and negotiate with peer-level department heads and external agencies/facilities regarding issues and programs that affect the assigned department and several other large departments/divisions.
Advanced proficiency in PC-based software applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and both manual and web-based applications for data collection and reporting.
Proven ability to lead quality improvement and process improvement initiatives. For research efforts, capable of leading and conducting basic secondary research (e.g., literature reviews) as well as advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis.
