Join our Data Box & Azure Storage Mover team as a Senior Software Engineer - Azure Storage Migration Services and play a pivotal role in crafting robust and scalable services. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build, improve and support highly scalable, performant services that deliver highly reliable and secure data migration solutions for our customers. Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features and enhancements for Azure Storage migration services using best practices and industry standards.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across multiple software components.
- Optimize and improve the performance, scalability, reliability, and security of the software.
- Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and customers to gather requirements, provide feedback, and deliver solutions.
- Lead and mentor engineers and provide technical guidance and direction.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality criteria.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, GoLang or Python.
- 4+ years of experience in software design, development, and delivery experience using a structured programming language.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, GoLang, or Python.
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, GoLang, or Python.
- Knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices with communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of and/or subject matter expertise in REST, service reliability, security, encryption, and authentication.
- Experience with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud technologies.
- Experience with storage technologies.
- Experience building high scale and reliable systems.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
