This role is vital to the operations within the restaurant because you’ll:
- be responsible for running a profitable restaurant
- make sure the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- work with your supervisor and Owner Operator to set the restaurant’s goals and create a plan to achieve these goals
- hire and develop Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team to reach its goals
To meet your restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers with specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This includes:
- helping the Department Managers set their own goals
- following up on their progress by providing coaching and direction
- knowledge and understanding of P&L, food cost, and labor percentage

- Lead the experience: Manage all aspects within the restaurant, including food production, guest service and experience, and direct crew and manager work
- Plan for success: Proactively lead and manage restaurant processes including training, coaching, and motivating

- Take action first: Ensure food safety measures and goals are achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence
