Your activities for the load forecast project significantly contribute to our client's data science, data engineering, optimization engineering, orchestration engineering and ML Ops efforts. This experienced engineer will grow and optimize this critical technical foundation for load forecast project, and will work across our client's global power business, suite of portfolio companies, and enterprise Centers of Excellence to deliver outsized value. This position is located in Houston, Texas with work performed at client site in Houston, Texas up to 2 days/week; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
How you'll make an impact:
- Deploy models in to production, using existing and emerging methods and technologies that could be effectively applied.
- Architect/lead/build core infrastructure around feature engineering, model training, model deployment, ongoing monitoring tools, and much more.
- Serve as the senior ML engineering expert for a global platform and global commercial operations that rely on best-in-class ML techniques, software engineering and MLOps.
- Design, build and automate our AI/ML workstream from data analysis, experimentation, operationalization, model training, model tuning to visualization.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, data engineering and DevOp teams to increase our deployment velocity, including the process for deploying models and data pipelines into production.
- Working closely with Product Management to translate product requirements into robust, customer-agnostic machine learning architectures.
- Build and lead the ML infra, ML Ops and ML Orchestration team.
- Assemble and lead a team of machine learning Engineer to develop cutting-edge machine learning pipelines.
- Build enterprise ML strategy to simplify the ML model deployment, data pipeline, model management and ML orchestration.
- Build and implement strategy to reduce the infra cost.
- Expert in ML Infra and execute more than 35k model training and inference with minimum infrastructure cost.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This RoleWhat you'll bring:
- 10+ years of years of experience in designing, developing, deploying and monitoring machine learning and deep learning solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in MLOps: managing production machine learning lifecycle.
- Key Skills: Sagemakes, MLOps and DevOps Pipelines development.
- 2+ years of experience in AWS SageMaker.
- Strong experience in batch processing, real time inference and multi model container.
- Experience implementing, Improving and maintaining automated CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience working with data scientists and/or ML engineers and building auto-scaling ML systems.
- Experience in Kubernetes architecture, future store, model management, ML orchestration and IoT.
- Experience in Sagemaker and AzureML.
- Experience in S3, ADLS, Dremio, delta lake, data bricks and time series data base.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Development competency across a breadth of languages, frameworks and tooling, such as Python, R, Kubernetes, JavaScript/JVM, Scala, Reactive Streams, Kafka, etc.
- Development competency in data engineering and storage, including across breadth of tools such as S3, RDS, EFS, No-SQL, graph db, Spark, etc.
Nice to have skills:
- Strong desire to stay ahead of industry trends & technologies with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience with Machine Learning Concepts - Training, Validation, Testing, Precision/Recall, Bias/Variance etc.
- Experience in extracting, cleansing, and manipulating large, diverse structured and unstructured data sets.
- Knowledge and experience in applying ML algorithms and technologies to time series forecasting.
- Experience in energy management domain is a plus, with comfort in energy asset optimization, asset control and data flow loops, and wholesale electricity market applications.
- Experience managing people / leading a team.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,300- $146,800.
