Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior APD Process Management Consultant to assist in creating a framework and processes for managing the Advance Planning Document (APD) process. This role involves tracking and reporting several APDs to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Responsibilities:
- Framework Development: Design and implement a comprehensive framework for managing the APD process
- Process Creation: Establish effective processes for the submission, tracking, and reporting of APDs
- APD Writing: Draft, review, and finalize APDs ensuring they meet CMS requirements and guidelines
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all APD-related processes and procedures
- Reporting: Generate regular reports to CMS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all requirements
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with State officials and other stakeholders to ensure smooth APD management
- Training and Transition: Provide training and support to State personnel for the transition of APD management responsibilities
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in APD process management and APD writing
- Proven track record of successful APD submissions and management within government or healthcare sectors
- Strong understanding of CMS requirements and regulations related to APDs
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state healthcare programs
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex documentation processes
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for tracking, writing, and reporting APDs
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within a short timeframe
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and guide teams in process improvement initiatives
