Opportunity
The VP – HR, Operations & Supply Chain is responsible for providing solutions, thought partnership, communication strategies, and business talent strategies for the globally matrixed Operations & Supply Chain organization. This HR leader will develop and deliver best practices and people solutions, and HR programs to our global and regional Operations & Supply Chain teams. They will provide strategic consultation and coaching to Executive Leaders on organizational effectiveness that will contribute to the growth of the Operations and the team, as well as partnering with business and HR leaders within the businesses.
The VP – HR, Operations & Supply Chain provides business partnership to all areas that report up through Supply Chain & Operations including K&B Operations Finance, K&B Operations (Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Systems & Process Automation, Quality), Strategic Sourcing, Operations Excellence, K&B North America Supply Chain, Environmental Health & Safety, and Kohler Operating System & Transformation Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Operations & Supply Chain executives to drive talent strategies, plans and organizational capabilities; strategic partnership in organizational development to evolve organization to drive efficiencies, improve operational performance and support growth.
- Develops HR plan to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps. Ensures the organization has suitable access to talent to ensure future business growth and success.
- Advances talent and culture initiatives through consultation and relationship building, while ensuring alignment to Operations & Supply Chain strategies.
- Supports, develops, engages and retains talent by creating, implementing and maintaining talent management solutions that brings manufacturing associate EVP to life and offers an inclusive culture and work environment (engagement, succession planning, learning and development, assessment, planning).
- Creates an experience-based talent culture across all enterprise organizations in aspects of talent attraction, development, improving organizational health and driving high performance culture.
- Creates end to end global talent model for each Operations & Supply Chain that includes attraction, retention and performance and development.
- Drives diversity and inclusion strategies to embrace applicants and associates of all backgrounds and to support the full development and high performance of all associates in an inclusive environment.
- Oversee the leadership & development strategy and solutions that support a growth mindset culture, inclusive of onboarding and technical training.
- Oversee functional communication and associate engagement plans.
- Develop strategies to address organizational change and related change management that will impact organizational effectiveness (improve productivity, increase retention/engagement, reduce cost and increase profitability).
- Advances Talent and Culture initiatives through consultation and relationship building, while ensuring alignment to Supply Chain & Operations & HR strategies.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years of HR experience in manufacturing and / or supply chain organization with proven abilities in leading best in class people strategies in a manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading progressive HR Leaders.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization. Understands key business drivers and risks and how HR strategies & talent management should be aligned to support business objectives.
- Strong knowledge of labor relations and experience in both union and non-union manufacturing operations.
- HR change agent with demonstrated experience in effectively managing change and who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible, and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assess HR implications of business strategies and priorities and utilize data and reporting to drive strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate across global matrixed organization to optimize outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate plans into phased actions.
- Demonstrated process excellence related to design, improvement, standardization, and automation.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills to communicate across all levels of the organization globally.
- Understands cultural differences and applies that knowledge in day-to-day interactions and strategic HR planning.
- Able and willing to travel globally & domestically 25-50%.

The salary range for this position is $227,200 - $301,650. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
