This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States.
As a Senior Software Engineer on our Enterprise Enablement team, you will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering and help Fullstory’s mission to create amazing online experiences for their customers by applying deep expertise in distributed systems and computer science to build an ambitiously high-scale and high-value platform.
In a typical day, you might:
- Engineer systems that operate at hundreds of thousands of requests per second.
- Collaborate with teammates to craft the strategy and execution for scaling Fullstory.
- Maintain and troubleshoot parts of Fullstory’s production environment.
- Provide assistance to other teams in order to build impressive capabilities.
- Enable enterprise workflows and features.
Here's what we're looking for:
- Expertise in oauth and SSO flows and best practices.
- Experience with web systems at scale.
- Experience in building enterprise-grade solutions.
- Experience in one or more of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript (and have an ability to pick up new ones).
- Experience with the following or similar: gRPC, Kubernetes, Solr (document search databases), BigTable/Cassandra/DynamoDB, pub/sub and stream processing architectures.

- GCP-based; heavy use of Cloud Datastore, BigQuery, Bigtable.
- Kubernetes (GKE), terraform, helm.
- Services written in Go; gRPC for APIs; prometheus for monitoring.

- Java, ObjC, and Rust for our mobile stack.
- Python and Jupyter for Data Science.
- Monorepo for our code: we’re one big happy (in-sync!) family.
The impact you will have in 6 months:
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the product’s roadmap by providing technical insights, identifying upcoming trends or technologies that could impact the product, and proposing innovative solutions to meet future challenges.
- Mentor junior developers, helping them to improve their coding skills, understand best practices, and navigate complex software architecture. Your guidance will contribute to the growth of the team’s capabilities and promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
The impact you will have in 12 months:
- Successfully lead the development and launch of a key project, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget. This may involve innovating a solution to a long-standing problem or creating a new feature that significantly improves user experience.
- Drive operational improvements that significantly reduce system downtime, optimize cost, and improve service delivery to customers. This might involve enhancing monitoring, automating infrastructure management, or adopting best practices in DevOps.
