Senior Reactor Operator Candidate
The Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) candidate reports directly to the Senior Manager, Operations and will attend license class to obtain a license for Kemmerer Unit 1 (KU1). Until such time that license class is conducted, the candidate will support the project in various positions to build plant knowledge to improve the chance of success. The candidate will be involved with procedure and program development, training program development, and plant design reviews for operations. The successful candidate will integrate and coordinate with other departments, project partners, regulators, and outside organizations working on the needs of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in training to obtain an SRO license for the Natrium plant.
- Provide assistance and support to other members of the class to ensure a successful training program.
- Coordinate with other departments for cross-discipline procedure development, design reviews, and training development.
- Use smart procedures or other software-based support tools to develop electronic procedures.
- Complete 10CFR50.59 and 10CFR72.48 reviews, as applicable.
- Consider and integrate the use of cross-trained resources in procedure development, training development, and design reviews to improve organizational efficiency.
- Engage with industry peers, 3rd party vendors, ASME, NEI, EPRI, and other organizations to find innovative methods and technologies for the development of procedures, training, and the design of the plant.
- Ensure administrative and process implementation procedures comply with company standards, NRC regulations, INPO accreditation criteria, and other codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
