What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Maintain, improve, and expand web applications and data pipelines
- Create secure, maintainable, performant, correct, scalable, and stable solutions to complex challenges
- Embrace strategies that minimize risk and prioritize observability, alerting, metrics, and high test coverage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a trusted technical decision-maker
- Coach and mentor other engineers
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or 8 years of experience without a degree
- 6+ years of experience building full-stack web applications
- 4+ years of experience with SQL or other database querying language
- 4+ years of experience as a trusted technical decision-maker
- 4+ years of experience coaching other engineers
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience building full-stack web applications in any language/framework
- Proficiency with CSS/HTML/Javascript and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Expertise in at least 1 server-side web technology
- Familiarity with relational database systems
- Experience with API design and development
