About The Role
Cybersecurity threats have become the fastest-growing risk impacting small and midsize businesses, with cyber crime costing businesses $6 trillion+ in 2022 alone. Coalition has pioneered a unique approach to help protect small and midsize businesses from cyber risk by combining technology and insurance to help protect our customers from fast-moving digital risks.
We’re seeking a creative, customer-centric, and collaborative Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead efforts to market our Coalition Security product and service offerings, which include SaaS cyber risk management solutions featuring attack surface monitoring, supply chain risk monitoring, threat remediation, and more, as well as managed cybersecurity services, which include MDR, EDR, and engagement-based professional services.
This role will operate at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing, and play an essential role in translating the products, features, and services into solutions that meet our customers’ needs. You’ll determine the key target audiences, positioning, value propositions, and channel strategy to successfully reach small business customers. You will own our messaging and storytelling to small businesses and will be responsible for crafting clear, memorable messaging.
Success in this role would result in increased adoption of our cybersecurity product offering amongst our insurance customers and increased pipeline and grass roots demand for Coalition Security products from small and midsize businesses.
Responsibilities
- Curate product positioning and messaging for our security products informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding. Amplify the voice of the customer in your work and collaboration with the product and sales teams.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and drive launches for our growing product lines in collaboration with product managers, sales, design, PR, and engineering. Evaluate the performance of your products and develop strategies to drive further growth and customer engagement.
- Turn your knowledge into creative content ideas to reach, engage, and educate our key audiences through collateral, blogs, webinars, thought leadership, customer presentations, website content, videos, blogs, by-lined articles and more.
- Help enable Coalition’s customer-facing teams, including sales, customer success, and technical support.
- Partner with Coalition’s Product, Customer Success, and Security teams to identify emerging trends and develop proactive resources and customer communications.
- Develop thought-leadership in security and risk management to effectively engage our core audiences.
- Partner with our product team to build a connected customer journey across our web properties to increase sign-ups and conversion.
Skills And Qualifications
- 8+ years of proven experience in product marketing for security products.
- Experience marketing to small businesses is a plus.
- Experience building and testing messaging and campaigns that convert.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written) and close attention to detail.
- Demonstrated track record in crafting compelling messaging, content, and campaigns throughout a product's lifecycle.
- Extremely self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic environment on multiple complex projects.
- Proven success working in a collaborative, team environment.
- Maturity to balance short-term and long-term development simultaneously.
- Highly proficient written communication and editing skills, and ability to quickly learn and adopt the messaging and tone of our company.
Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The US base salary for this position ranges from $139,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $215,000/year in our highest geographic market. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location.
