Director, Commercial Analytics and Excellence
Azurity Pharmaceuticals is a privately held specialty pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Woburn, MA.The Azurity mission is to make safe, high quality treatments for patients requiring customized, user-friendly formulations for their care. We address the needs of patients historically underserved by the pharmaceutical industry, such as children and the elderly.We have both FDA-approved products as well as a Unit-of-Use Kit portfolio of compounding kits.
Azurity is seeking a complement to the Commercial Business Operations team with someone who brings pharmaceutical experience coupled with executional excellence to ensure an optimized commercial strategy. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing company in a niche market.
Mission:
As the Director, Commercial Analytics and Excellence, you will enhance our company’s ability of using data to not only inform business decisions, but drive business through actionable insights.You will work as the go-to expert for Marketing Science, Forecasting, and Channel Insight information and partner across the organization in sales, marketing, business development, market access, finance, as well as the Executive Leadership Team.As the lead of a team of 2-3 other supporting roles, you are comfortable connecting many people and sources together to solve business questions and provide unbiased views based on data.
Responsibilities:
- Directly conduct and support Marketing Science initiatives including assessments of promotional response to omni-channel efforts and ROI on programs, with the goal of optimizing commercial efforts
- Help develop and implement advanced analytics solutions that achieve our omnichannel ambition and overall promotional effectiveness. Support the Marketing Team Leads in growing our omnichannel analytics capabilities

- Create high-level trend- or patient-based forecasts to inform investment and prioritization decisions across in-line, pipeline, and BD products
- Conduct promotional mix analyses, personalization of channels and messaging, tactic sequencing, and field & digital integration
- Maintain and measure effectiveness of predictive field engagement tool used to prioritize next best actions
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of various channels, generating insights from market access, formulary, and contract analytics
- Particular emphasis on the wide spectrum of Market Access data represented in MA360 (Market Access 360) ecosystem across Pharmacy / Medical Benefit and range of distribution (Retail, Specialty, etc.)
- Responsible for providing strategic sales and marketing insights with limited guidance / supervision
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science or business discipline (e.g. math, statistics, economics); advanced degree preferred
- 10 or more years of pharmaceutical commercial experience, including several years in one or more analytical roles
- Deep experience in Business Insights & Analytics, including expertise within Marketing Science (e.g., market analysis, marketing mix ROI)
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and an ability to translate data into actionable insight for decision-making purposes, as well as the ability to effectively communicate that data/insight
- Proficiency in extracting insights from large data sources (ex: IQVIA/SHA, claims, government databases)
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
- Excellent strategic & analytical skills: demonstrable abilities to create aligned business analysis practices and resources in direct support of business partner needs, challenges, issues, etc.
- Experience in concepts of Managed Markets controls and pricing (PBMs, Payors, Government), Pharmaceutical supply chain, and Hospital System affiliations and influence.
Position Location: Flexible between both in-office campus (Boston or Atlanta) and virtual in-home office.
Travel Requirements: Travel up to approximately 35% of the time including occasional weekend travel. This includes travel across multiple office locations for internal meetings, to conferences/conventions, and occasional field to visits to customers.
