ClariMed continues to build our corporate team! We are seeking an experienced on-site Vice President of Business Development to work with our corporate executive team and manage all aspects of sales operations, ensuring sales revenues meet or exceed goals of the company.

Essential Core Duties and Responsibilities:
This exciting role will be the foundation of our go-to-market for the “One ClariMed Vision”. The right individual will be responsible for evolving the company’s go-to-market strategy, enabling cross-sell of services and development of strategic partnerships with our globally leading and emerging clients. This senior leader is a servant leader who models the values of the organization.
The VP of Business Development is responsible for directly selling ClariMed’s services related to a comprehensive suite of services across the life cycle of medtech development. ClariMed is focused on close alignment to the medtech, pharma, and healthtech markets, and this role requires collaborating with our Subject Matter Experts and commercial operations colleagues to drive sales activities and grow the business across geographies and service lines.
The successful VP of Business Development will have a proven track record of prospecting and building productive client relationships in enterprise-focused device development and commercialization. This role will:
- Demonstrate collaboration with client delivery and executive management.
- Create business opportunities through client needs identification and relationship building.
- Proactively work with customer and project teams to resolve client concerns and create specific action plans in collaboration with the company’s service delivery and project teams.
- Influence medtech, pharma, and healthtech sponsors to contract with ClariMed, closing new business and driving expansion within existing accounts across multiple service lines.
As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Prospect for new opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
- Establish and maintain an excellent rapport with future and current clientele.
- Partner with marketing to drive top end of funnel prospecting and target audience.
- Prepare, organize and deliver customer presentations. Plan and attend major industrial events and tradeshows.
- Provide a consultative sales approach utilizing examples of solutions for similar problems and client types.
- Develop account strategies to acquire new customers and expand in existing accounts.
- Collaborate with commercial operations to collect critical information for proposal preparation. Understand the proposal process and provide positive input.
- Negotiate and close/book sales opportunities.
- Collaborate in a matrix structure to achieve targets.
You’ll need to bring:
- Success in solution sales role, in a medtech, pharma, or healthtech related sector, ideally within medtech consulting.
- Ability to prospect for new business, with a hunter mind-set.
- Proven success in the leadership of proposals and bid defense processes and meetings.
- Ability to produce an account plan and execute the plan to achieve the annual sales target.
- Knowledge of the medtech R&D and regulatory lifecycle and the services that fall within.
- Understanding and exposure to both start-ups and large multinational corporations.
- Ability to build and manage ClariMed’s sales funnel and pipeline to accurately forecast sales achievement.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of successful selling services in medtech (preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role (preferred).
- Experience selling to both small and large organizations, with understanding of the fundamental differences.
- Experience growing and driving businesses through both organic growth of the existing business, as well as successfully cross-selling acquired business lines and capabilities (preferred).
