Overview
Do you want to play a crucial and integral role in protecting #CAES’ DoD compliance? Then this is the role for YOU! We are currently seeking a Security Manager in San Jose, CA to oversee, monitor and report on all security aspects of the Department of Defense (DoD) and other industrial/physical security program activities.
Responsibilities
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary advisor to the Corporate Security Director and Site GM on all physical and industrial security matters and liaison to the local Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
- Lead and manage day-to-day security business operations supporting existing programs, facilitating personnel actions, oversight of classified information maintenance, liaising with government security representatives and support of proposal activities.
- Represent Security to Management for strategic business planning.
- ISSM will report to this position; candidate should have knowledge of eMASS, the design, certification, accreditation, and maintenance of classified IS.
- Represent on all matters pertaining to the safeguarding and handling of classified and controlled unclassified information (CUI).
- Implements local processes and procedures to comply with all National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and the security requirements set forth in the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) part 117, “NISPOM”.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to site leadership and outside agencies on all physical and industrial security matters; partners with appropriate site functional representatives (e.g., Human Resources, Information Technology, etc.) as appropriate.
- Oversees periodic self-inspections to ensure NISP compliance; oversees reporting of security posture to site, group or corporate leadership for multiple facilities.
- Advisor on all physical and industrial security disciplines (Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical Security, Visitor Management, Operations Security, Communications Security).
- May conduct collateral security briefings and debriefings, including counterintelligence pre- and post-travel, and suspicious contact reports to site personnel.
- Conducts investigations and completes Reports of Investigation (ROI) on all industrial security matters; makes recommendations to local Human Resources and supervisory personnel on disciplinary actions; provides ROI to group and corporate leadership as required by CAES policy.
- Maintains proficiency in all physical, NISP and FOCI security policies and practices.
- Perform independently, or with a group, on site, group or enterprise-level security projects designed to enhance the security posture of CAES.
- Directly manages or provides oversight to Security personnel conducting badging of employees, visitors, consultants and government representatives to ensure compliance with CAES policy.
- Manages a staff including direct report personnel, guard force or other security providers and consultants.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Associate's Degree.
- 5+ years' experience in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
- 5+ years' experience in a supervisory/management role.
- Thorough understanding of NISPOM requirements.
- Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- The ability to gain and maintain Active Secret Clearance.
Preferred:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- A minimum of 7+ years' Security Management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial security programs.
- Basic knowledge of CUI (ITAR/EAR) regulations.
- Experience mentoring/managing a team.
- Strong professional communication skills interacting with peers and other functional/site executives.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $210,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
