We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Legal Counsel to support our global operations in negotiating and managing legal contracts. In this role, you’ll work closely with leadership to ensure all commercial transactions comply with legal standards and conform to business requirements. Responsibilities
- Provide high-level legal advice and guidance to leadership, sales, and various internal stakeholders within the company on a wide range of legal issues, including but not limited to corporate law, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, intellectual property.
- Review, negotiate and draft a variety of customer and vendor agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and protecting the organization's business interests.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel as needed to ensure all contractual relationships and policies meet legal and company standards.
- Conduct training sessions, and prepare various training materials in support of the onboarding and ongoing education of sales and leadership team members in legal risks and compliance requirements.
- Assist with corporate initiatives, including litigation and employment matters, where needed.
Requirements And Skills
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to, and in good standing with, the bar in at least one US jurisdiction.
- Minimum 8 years of experience practicing law with significant experience negotiating legal/commercial terms relevant to SaaS contracts, including some prior experience in a corporate legal department.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating complex contractual arrangements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent ability to advise internal stakeholders proactively and collaboratively.
- Technical competence to identify and resolve revenue recognition issues in SaaS agreements.
- Positive, collaborative demeanor with a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative approach to deal-making.
- French or German fluency is a plus.
- Pacific or Mountain time zones preferred.
