Purpose: This position is primarily responsible for the management of a designated site manufacturing operations and related support functions, including EH&S, materials procurement, production planning, production operations, warehouse, shipping and receiving, kitting, facilities and equipment maintenance functions, formulating and recommending manufacturing policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site performance: EH&S, Quality, Delivery/Service, Cost, Employee engagement.
- Development and implementation of strategic plans for efficient and cost-effective site manufacturing, logistics, and related operations.
- Manage budgets for equipment expenditures, material and direct/indirect labor and overhead spend.
- Provide leadership for the department, ensuring staff operational areas are managed by qualified individuals.
- Work across departments to achieve company and departmental objectives and build teamwork.
- Support the company Quality Management System(s) and ensure production adheres to all regulatory and quality requirements.
- Ensure site adheres to all local laws.
- Identify areas for process modifications to reduce operating costs and/or increase profit.
- Develop and implement Continuous Improvement projects.
- Establish production schedules and manpower planning based on product requirements and material supply.
- Drive improvements to efficiency, on-time delivery, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Meet with key suppliers to communicate company needs and develop mutually beneficial relationships.
- Participate in all areas of product manufacturing transfer and New Product Introduction.
- Establish priorities and implement best practice Project Management methodology in project execution.
- Provide leadership and direction to operations and production staff, establishing performance requirements and monitoring achievements.
- Manage troubleshooting of manufacturing-related issues and identify resources and action plans to resolve them.
- Manage site risk registry to ensure business continuity.
- Use ERP system to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualification:
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- BS in science/engineering, MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of cGMP Manufacturing experience or equivalent, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business, operational, and financial strategies that support organizational objectives.
- Ability to translate broad strategies into specific objectives and action plans.
- In-depth knowledge of Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Kaizen.
- Advanced PC skills; ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills; strong management and presentation skills.
- Travel up to 25%.
