Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is seeking a Consulting Engineer located between Philadelphia, PA and Annapolis, MD to support local clients. Travel 25%-40% depending on relevant experience. The position joins the Risk Informed Services division and will work with experienced professionals on the Energy & Utilities team, providing nuclear safety and reliability consulting services.
Responsibilities
The consulting engineer functions as part of a corporate risk management team that interfaces with multiple nuclear plant departments to implement the risk management (PRA) program. Specific tasks include:
- Supporting Maintenance Rule implementation
- Advising work planners on scheduling maintenance activities
- Maintaining and updating configuration risk management (CRM) software models
- Responding to emergent plant risk management activities
- Interfacing with plant operations and engineering departments
- Developing and maintaining risk-related documentation and training material
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering and at least 2+ years of experience in Navy nuclear or commercial nuclear power plants. Minimum requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
