Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Study Director of Reproductive Sciences to lead our research initiatives in both male and female reproductive health. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing a wide array of preclinical studies, encompassing a variety of reproductive disorders including female and male reproductive function disorders. This role demands a deep understanding of reproductive biology, animal models, therapeutic interventions, and the latest innovations in the field.
Responsibilities
- Study Leadership and Design:
- Lead the design and development of both in vitro and in vivo studies in reproductive sciences.
- Ensure studies are well-planned, innovative, and aligned with the latest scientific advancements and regulatory standards.
- Develop protocols and methodologies that specifically address the complexities of reproductive disorders.
- Scientific and Technical Expertise:
- Apply expert knowledge in animal models used in reproductive science research, including but not limited to models for female and male reproductive disorders.
- Stay abreast of the latest therapeutic modalities and innovations in reproductive health.
- Integrate novel technologies and approaches to enhance research outcomes and therapeutic developments.
- Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all research activities comply with applicable regulatory and ethical standards.
- Prepare comprehensive study reports and documentation that meet both scientific and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve scientific data, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scientific integrity.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other research teams and stakeholders within the organization to integrate multidisciplinary approaches into study designs.
- Communicate effectively with clients and partners, providing updates, insights, and strategic recommendations related to reproductive science projects.
- Serve as the scientific expert in meetings and conferences, representing AniLocus in the broader scientific community.
- Team Management and Development:
- Mentor and lead a team of researchers and technicians, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
- Promote a culture of high performance, innovation, and ethical research practices.
- Evaluate team performance and provide guidance and support to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Biology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in preclinical research with a significant focus on reproductive sciences.
- Proven track record of leading studies in reproductive health, including in vitro and in vivo models.
- Extensive knowledge of reproductive disorders, therapeutic interventions, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data interpretation and presentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: $82,000 and $129,500 USD. Negotiable and based on experience, qualifications, and market rates for Germantown, Maryland.
- Work Schedule: Full-time
- Work Environment: Hybrid
