Job Overview:
Spirent’s Positioning Technology business is looking for new talent with skill sets and experience that will enable us to further relationships with existing customers and penetrate new teams, plus bring in new accounts and new markets. Spirent Positioning Technology designs, manufactures, and supplies advanced satellite navigation test and simulation systems, many of which comprise radio frequency signal generators and computer systems running complex application software; all designed in-house. As the clear market leader these systems are sold all over the world to high-profile organizations.
The successful candidate will join the Positioning Business Unit’s Business Development team for the Americas, formulating and nurturing initiatives that become top agenda items for our business. It will take a good understanding of business, sales, and technical know-how to succeed in this environment. The ability to collaborate with teams across Spirent and manage external relationships are key. This position will report to the Director of PNT-Simulations Americas and involves working with our team in the UK but will be remote.

Job Responsibilities:
- Developing relationships in Position Navigation & Timing (PNT) accounts for growing new business strategies or further developing current key opportunities.
- Serve as liaison between sales, marketing, and engineering groups and ensure alignment on resources and strategies to create growth within assigned industry segments.
- Work directly with customers, sales, and product management to create business plans for selected product/solution/technology focus areas.
- Understand and regularly report on market conditions and drivers, including growth rates, technology and market trends, customer needs, opportunities, and competitive analysis.
- Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, industry trends, and new opportunities and products; Provide "Outside-in" knowledge and expertise.
- Provide industry insight and thought leader resources across Spirent’s businesses; provide solution expertise for sales/account managers.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited university or closely related engineering/technology discipline, such as or equivalent with a master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years related experience in a high-technology organization, including 3+ years of customer-facing, and market research experience.
- Experience developing trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the PNT space.
- Experience in leading complex relationships and strong communication skills.
- Solid understanding of the test and measurement industry.
- Ability to deliver effective training to internal stakeholders and partners. It will be key to enable customers to understand Spirent’s solution value and benefits.
- Ability to work alone or in teams.
- Conscious of deadlines and effective time management skills
- Domestic travel required (about 15%) and at least one international travel per year.
- Knowledge of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) position, navigation, and timing concepts, including constellations and segments, navigation data, orbital parameters of space vehicles, and GNSS reception challenges is desirable.
- Simulation experience is preferred.
- Experience working on multi-band GNSS chips or post-processing is a plus.
- Knowledge of MEMS sensors is nice to have.
- GNSS background with involvement in GNSS \ PNT technologies and signals is also desirable.
- Automotive or mobile market experience is a plus.
