This north Florida health system is seeking a board certified / board eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established private practice. The incoming physician would join an experienced staff and 2 providers - a board certified gastroenterologist and a nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner assists with seeing patients in the hospital as well. New grads are welcome. No ERCP or EUS required - but available if interested.
The practice is housed in a large office space with room to add an additional provider. Procedures are done at Ocala Health and Florida Hospital as well as Surgery Center.
The Regional Medical Center is part of a 2-facility health system with 430 beds. Facilities have been consistently growing over the course of the last 5 years, having invested $210 M in capital improvements through 2018. The facility has another $60 M in construction underway to include expansion of ER, OR, and IP Bed Capacity at both facilities. Ocala Health is a high functioning Comprehensive Stroke and Level II Trauma Center, and is the only center in Marion, Hernando, Sumter, and Citrus counties. The facility also leads a growing GME program in partnership with UCF.
