Position Summary
As the Director of Marketing Operations on our CMX business, you own achieving operational efficiency and excellence in execution by building, using, and monitoring process & tools that improve the way that the CMX Marketing Team functions internally and across the broader CMX and CVS organization.
Operations is a newly formed function within the CMX Marketing organization. Your aim is to stand-up a team of project managers as well as resourcing and traffic managers that are responsible for building and sustaining enhanced capabilities that support efficient management and execution of the CMX Marketing and Sales campaign portfolio. We know that you are an enthusiastic change agent that thrives on building strategies and solutions to better enable agility and innovation, which leads to an enhanced ability to connect with partners (B2B) and customers (B2C) in innovative and motivating ways.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to oversight of the CMX Marketing Operations Team ensuring that campaigns are delivered on time, you will have a keen eye for process excellence. Leading efforts to determine a methodology to review process opportunities, collaboratively design enhanced processes, develop documentation & operating instructions, in partnership with Learning & Development create change management/training/communication plans, and develop methods to ensure ongoing governance and optimization. You will guide the team on improving and monitoring processes to gain/maintain efficiencies while reducing cost, reducing cycle times, and improving cross-team goals and effectiveness.

Travel requirement is up to 25%
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in developing, enhancing, optimizing and automating business processes, ideally in the marketing space
- 6+ years of experience in managing a team
- 4+ years of experience in marketing operations, portfolio or project management disciplines
- 4+ years of strategic planning and operations experience
- Experience automating processes in tracking tools, such as Marketing Resource Management technologies (i.e. WorkFront) or similar
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Visio
- Trained and certified in Lean, Six Sigma or Agile
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of marketing asset production, workflows, timelines
- Strong comprehension and knowledge of project management best practices
- Understanding of portfolio management - collecting, understanding, and reporting on portfolio details
- Defining and utilizing key analytics & reporting that will help drive operational excellence
- Ability to problem solve, identify root causes of obstacles, and address fundamental systemic and operational issues to accelerate results.
- Skilled collaborator and influencer - drives progress through ideas, relationships and actions.
- Business process improvement & implementation experience (in Marketing space)
- Experience in change management best practices and communications
- Experience leading, developing, and coaching a large, cross-functional team
- Experienced collaborator and influencer - drives change through ideas, relationships and actions
- Experience leveraging MRM and similar tools to successfully monitor and manage and extensive volume of concurrent projects

Education
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a concentration in marketing or business
- Master's degree preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,500.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
