The Health Outcomes Value and Access (HOVA) is responsible for developing and implementing health economics strategies to support market access, reimbursement, and evidence generation for Sobi's portfolio. This position will collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Global Marketing and Medical, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to ensure the creation and utilization of robust health economics and outcomes research. The role also involves working internally, as well as with third-party vendors to ensure compliance and the effective administration of related activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute HOVA strategies to support market access, pricing, and reimbursement for Sobi's products.
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate HOVA insights into clinical development, regulatory, and commercial strategies.
- Represent HOVA in strategic planning and decision-making forums.
- Evidence Generation:
- Design and oversee health economics and outcomes research studies, including cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, and real-world evidence studies.
- Collaborate with clinical and medical teams to identify data needs and ensure the generation of robust, relevant evidence.
- Lead the development of HOVA publications, presentations, and other scientific communications.
- Develop tools to communicate value of Sobi products to key stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with payers, health technology assessment (HTA) bodies, and other external stakeholders to communicate the value of Sobi's products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external HOVA experts.
- Support market access teams in developing value propositions and negotiation strategies for payers and policymakers.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HOVA team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.
- Compliance and Quality:
- Ensure all HOVA activities comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
- Maintain high standards of scientific rigor and ethical conduct in all research activities.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacy, or a related field; or MD with relevant experience.
- Master's degree with extensive experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, or a related field within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful HOVA strategies.
- Experience in engaging with payers, HTA bodies, and other external stakeholders.
- Strong publication record and experience presenting at scientific conferences.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position regularly requires long hours and may include weekend work.
TRAVEL
Travel as appropriate to implement strategic initiatives, approximately 25%-50%.

Salary range: $215,000 to $270,000
