About the role
The Senior Solutions Consultant is a key part of Mezmo’s growth strategy. Your job is to give our prospective customers the confidence that the Mezmo Platform helps them solve their observability and telemetry data challenges and inspire them to adopt that solution. You’ll do this by collaborating with Mezmo’s technical services team to deliver compelling value-based demonstrations, managing successful validation events, and implementing strategies that address prospect’s critical needs and business requirements.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work with the next generation of telemetry pipeline and log analysis technology while being able to use your creativity to craft solutions that delight our customers, all the while having an impact on the company’s top line. Mezmo's Senior Solutions Consultants help the company grow revenue by assisting in the acquisition of new customers, and they are a key part of our Sales process.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with prospective customers, either with or without an Account Executive, to learn and understand the challenges they have using telemetry data for observability and other functions.
- Demonstrate the Mezmo platform to provide prospects with the confidence that the platform can address their challenges and needs.
- Conduct Technical Validation events so that prospects have the opportunity to see first hand how the Mezmo platform could be deployed for their needs and build a business case to support the purchase.
- Collaborate with marketing to support lead generation events, including webinars and conferences.
- Assist the business development team in identifying the right people to approach and message to use to get attention to generate sales leads.
- Support responding to prospect requests for information or proposals.
- Collaborate with the rest of the Technical Services team to create selling collateral, including whitepapers, solution demonstrations, and online workshops.
- Support the Customer Success and AE team in efforts to expand the Mezmo solution footprint in existing customers by identifying new use cases to which Mezmo can be applied and selling the customer on Mezmo’s use.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a sales / solution engineering role successfully selling a complex platform to a technical audience.
- Proven success operating in a complex technical sales cycle with multiple stakeholders
- Experience building and presenting a proposed solution architecture
- Working familiarity with observability tools, particularly those used to interpret and analyze telemetry data
- Experience analyzing data using data engineering techniques and consolidating and reporting findings and recommendations.
- Familiarity with public cloud offerings and the services and components that make up their infrastructure
- Ability to work autonomously given fundamental priorities, responsibilities, objectives, and desired key results
- Strong operational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize well in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Self-learner with experience and a level of comfort learning as you go, or learning a technology to understand how it relates to the Mezmo platform to explain or sell its value to a prospective customer.
- Proven collaborator with other parts of a Go-To-Market organization, including sales, product marketing, and business development
Compensation: This role has an OTE starting salary range of $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 + equity + benefits. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to your individual skills, experience and location.
