Chief Medical Officer
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time
Northeast Kingdom Human Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced psychiatrist to join our team as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO)! The position has the flexibility to be either full or part-time. The CMO will play a pivotal role in providing clinical oversight and ensuring the efficient operation of our medical teams and services, while also contributing to the achievement of the Agency's mission. This position is Monday-Friday, no on-call required.

NKHS is a Designated Agency contracted with the State of Vermont to provide the highest quality of service in the areas of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, children and youth with serious emotional disabilities, and adults with mental health and substance use challenges. RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
- Work towards improving the overall quality of client care provided by the Agency.
- Assumes leadership of NKHS’s medical team, including leading regular clinical operations meetings to support medical staff and develop team relationships.
- Enhance relationships with hospitals and other community partners collaborating with NKHS.
- The CMO engages in strategic planning and decision making processes regarding medical operations with NKHS’s Executive Director, Operations Director and Chief of Organizational Development.
- Execute the Agency's policies, systems, and agendas to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Leads new initiatives in collaboration with the Chief of Organizational Development and the Operations Director, including One Care initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Licensing Requirements: Must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice in Vermont, an unrestricted DEA license, and be board certified in psychiatry.
- Experience: 5-10 years’ adult outpatient psychiatry experience, including supervisory experience, is required.
