Position Summary
UNM Neurology seeks a Vascular Neurologist to join our Neurology team. This position will teach, mentor, and provide clinical preceptorship of medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in Neurology with an emphasis on vascular neurology disorders. This position will participate in department research activities and provide in-patient, out-patient, and tele-neurology consultative services, perform neurology procedures, and provide on-call coverage for the neurology division. This position will also participate in faculty development and administrative duties as needed.
UNM Hospital is the tertiary care center for the State and the only Comprehensive Stroke Center, NAEC level 4 epilepsy center, and ALS / MDA center in the State. The UNM Neurology has 45 full-time and part-time attending physicians and is home to well-established Residency and multiple Fellowship programs.
Salary: salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD degree or equivalent
- Board certified/eligible in Neurology
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Mexico
- Completed one or more years of Vascular Neurology Fellowship by start date
- Must be eligible to work in the United State
Preferred Qualifications:
- S trong clinical and teaching skills in vascular neurology
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
