Job Description:
This is a highly visible national Sales director position. It entails managing a team of Regional, National and Senior National Account Managers in the Abbott Diabetes Care’s consumer products, including Abbott’s revolutionary FreeStyle Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring System, to strategic national and regional mail order partners. The position includes developing new business in defined national/regional accounts, as well as growing existing customer base. It includes determining customer needs, developing account specific strategies, creating customer commitment to change, and implementing training and in-service programs.
This position will focus on developing strategies for current and future products, including distribution and partnerships.
Main Responsibilities
Increase the sales and profits of the DME Channel through the management of sales activities of Sales Managers. Lead, coach, and develop subordinates to improve their leadership skills and exceed sales goals. Provide strategic and tactical feedback to marketing. Direct the implementation of divisional sales and marketing programs. Monitor performance and adjust resources as needed. Ensure that all activities fall within the corporate compliance guidelines. Responsible for leading a team of up to 7 direct reports, including National Account Managers. Responsible for ensuring that ADC sales goals and objectives are met while optimizing the use of resources. Accountable for the adherence to corporate ethical and compliance guidelines. Responsible for ensuring the development of procedures and systems that enable the business to grow in an ethical manner. Ensure product availability nationwide through a network of providers by developing and nurturing customer partnerships. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify strategic partnerships, develop contracts and forecast demand and effectively utilize a broad range of financial and quantitative data and analysis. Develop strategic roadmap for HCP, Patient and DME experience for pharmacy and medical benefit adjudication. Assess business impact of contracting opportunities to include overall profitability and impact on sales and margin.
Qualifications
Required
- Four year university degree. MBA preferred, but not required.
Preferred
- 3 years of managing managers and leading large teams.
- 5 years of sales management experience.
- 2 years experience as a Marketing Director. Cross sales channel experience is highly desired.
