GI HEPATOLOGIST/TRANSPLANT WITH UOFL HEALTH - LOUISVILLE, KY
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking a Gastroenterologist/Transplant Hepatologist to join a division engaged in diverse clinical and academic practice, and research including multiple NIH grants, and 2 NIH Center grants.
The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to serve as attending on the general hepatology and liver transplant service and possess excellent teaching and clinical skills. The School of Medicine has medical students at each level, and the division faculty are actively engaged in the training of these medical students, medical residents, and GI fellows.
Candidates must have completed ACGME accredited fellowship in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellowship to qualify for this academic position.
Position Responsibilities
- Teaching: Time and effort dedicated to the teaching of medical students, graduate students, residents, fellows, nursing personnel and colleagues.
- Service: Will interact with the surgical transplant chair, and Division Directors and Department Chairs for the development and implementation of plans for growth in Hepatology, including Transplant Hepatology.
- Clinical: Will see inpatients and outpatients with various chronic liver disorders.
- Research: Will participate in clinical trials.
