Regional Business Director (RBD), US CNS Franchise (Northeast) is responsible for regional sales and overseeing regional business development activities for a specific region within the US. The RBD is responsible for delivering an integrated business plan and developing key strategies and tactics to help drive top line sales results that contribute to the national sales objective.
This is a full time, exempt, field-based position that reports to the National Director of Sales. Ideal candidates will be located near a Major airport with direct routes to the majority of their region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive commercial adoption of Optune Gio: Lead Territory Managers to meet or exceed quarterly Rx and new patient start goals, thus contributing to achievement of corporate sales objectives.
- Full ownership of a special project that supports advancement of the business/organization outside the RBD's respective region.
- Attend & support key planning and leadership meetings upon request from National Director of Sales and/or Sr. Leadership.
- Serve as Division Lead and point person for Sr. Leadership when National Director of Sales is on vacation.
- Strategic Agility - Demonstrates adaptability & improves job performance by incorporating innovative ideas to expand business opportunities & growth.
- Lead and develop team members to support organizational goals.
- Ability to establish and execute consistent coaching and feedback mechanism; Demonstrated ability to provide clear direction, set expectations and hold team accountable.
- Ensure team drives awareness & effects behavior change through full utilization of all approved resources: marketing materials; people resources and programs.
- Support field-based promotion and account management activities directed to oncology health care professionals in academic and community settings with an emphasis on neuro-oncologists, radiation oncologists, neuro-surgeons, and medical oncologists.
- Develop an integrated business plan for the region leveraging key customer and marketplace insights along with Novocure resources.
- Support key medical meetings and regional sponsorship events.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration amongst cross-functional partners to support the business: medical affairs, device support specialists, marketing, finance, reimbursement sales operations, and Learning & Development.
- Utilization of approved reports to analyze region business/sales trends; identifying opportunities and proactively addressing areas of decline; Analytics to guide strategy and support key business decisions.
- Support patient treatment by working with prescribing physicians and clinical staff to identify and manage patients who received prescriptions and have not yet started therapy or are otherwise on a treatment hold.
- Conduct case reviews with the prescribing physicians and clinical staff to discuss patient progress and support continuity of patient care.

- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in science or business; graduate degree preferred.
- Prior experience working in the oncology space for pharma/biopharma organization or medical device leadership experience strongly desired.
- Experience with institutional/teaching hospital sales/sales management experience with a major pharmaceutical company as well as most recent medical device company preferred.
- Working knowledge of reimbursement landscape and VA sales/sales management preferred.
- Must have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced organization with minimum supervision, good judgment and sound decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task numerous responsibilities and to interact effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Superior oral, written communication skills.
- Ability to adjust quickly to business needs and customer demands.
- Expert ability in managing an oncology therapeutic business on a regional basis with responsibility for sales, local marketing, reimbursement and technical support functions.

- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Ability to travel 40-60% of time regionally.
