Wray Community District Hospital and Clinic is seeking a seasoned CFO with critical access hospital experience. The Chief Financial Officer directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education and/or Experience Minimum qualifications:
The position of Chief Financial Officer requires a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on finance and accounting, a minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare financial management, and experience in rural healthcare financial management.
Preferred Experience
Experience in the Revenue Cycle process, cost reporting, and Multiview Financial programming is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees and directs monies, investments, audit, budgeting, purchasing, business office, real estate, long-range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization. Other duties may be assigned.
- Directs the staff accountant in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.
- Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
- Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the hospitals annual report.
- Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected hospital financial position for other managers.
- Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise the Purchasing Department, Business Office, and Staff Accountant. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Salary Compensation range:
$165,000.00 – $240,000.00 dependent on experience.
