The Delivery Enablement (DE) team supports internal stakeholders by providing a robust operational backbone across TAS, TES, OCFO, PI, IM, IB and TRS. The team includes Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Marketing, Data Analytics, Accounting & Finance and Delivery Excellence. The Vice President, Talent Acquisition (TA) role at Portage Point is a role that represents a unique opportunity for a highly capable recruiting professional with a proven track record of sourcing and placing top tier candidates. This role will be the third hire within the TA team and represents a unique opportunity for unconstrained personal and professional development. The Vice President, TA will work alongside the IB and Cross-Functional (XFn) teams to drive high volume and strategic recruiting outcomes. The individual will focus on flawless execution of our recruitment strategy, sourcing premier talent across various levels and delivering a best-in-class candidate and stakeholder experience.
Responsibilites- Partner with IB and XFn hiring managers to identify and secure top talent across various career levels
- Run effective TA processes that decrease interview to hire ratios and increase offer extension to acceptance ratios
- Develop and deploy effective sourcing strategies
- Accurately convey the Portage Point employee value proposition and unique advantages of each role and practice line
- Deliver an efficient and highly communicative experience to candidates and stakeholders
- Manage external agency relationships and reduce overall agency spend
- Develop and execute strategic recruiting initiatives and events
- Maintain standard operating procedures, talent dashboards / reports and recruiting exhibits
- Effectively leverage TA technology and support the research and implementation of new solutions
- Accurately report activities, outcomes and flag potential opportunities and threats
- Manage process changes by developing adequate levels of awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement
- Facilitate effective employment branding
- Champion referral bonus program and education internally around open hiring needs
- Provide professional development coaching to junior TA team members
- Share and manage TA best practices as well as lead internal trainings where required
- Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program
- Located in or willing to relocate to Chicago or New York
- Invested in a team-based culture and motivated to collaborate in office four days per week
- Six plus years of recruiting experience, primarily in sourcing out of investment banking and / or private equity
- Expert in candidate sourcing and selection
- Skillful in screening and / or behavioral interviews
- Experience with employment branding, diversity recruitment and change management
- Exposure to Lever is a plus
- Ability to successfully work in a small, collaborative team environment
- High degree of maturity with a proven ability to interact with senior executives
- Effectively communicates analysis through Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint including high-quality messaging, structure and formatting
- Eagerness to be responsive at all times
- Proven track-record of success in high pressure, time-constrained environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong e-mail etiquette
- Top-tier organizational skills and attention to detail

$150,000 - $190,000 a year
The City of New York and the State of California require Portage Point to provide compensation information for this role. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
