Position Overview: General Dentist FQHC in Bethel, AK Location: Bethel, AK (with outreach to surrounding tribal communities)
Setting: Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Role: Provide comprehensive dental care while actively contributing to the development of an outreach program to serve remote tribal communities.
Key Responsibilities: - Deliver general dentistry services to patients in Bethel and surrounding villages
- Travel periodically to outlying tribal communities to provide care
- Assist in establishing and expanding the outreach program
- Work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Qualifications: - Education: DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience preferred (proficiency in endodontics is a plus)
- Licensing & Certifications:
- Active Alaska dental license (in good standing)
- Current BLS certification
- Current DEA registration
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities; comfortable working independently
Compensation & Benefits: - Salary: $225,000 $260,000 (DOE)
