JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Merchandising is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques retail business, helping to deliver an online retail experience that builds brand recognition and affinity for Marriott's brands and managing the operational needs of integrating with partner vendors. This person will focus on key operational functions such as our Salesforce Commerce Cloud backend management and product data, integrating vendors and supporting customer logistics and needs. They will be responsible for ensuring our platform product listings are kept current across all channels inclusive of the website(s) and email. Additional initiative support may include coordinating and assisting with site updates, marketing activations, other platform deployments, vendor outreach and inventory management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
- 4-year degree from an accredited university and 5+ years of relevant professional experience in merchandising operations.
- Experience managing an ecommerce platform required, Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience preferred.
- Excellent project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to coordinate across multi-functional project teams to drive concrete results and actions on complex projects.
- Experience managing operations in an agile technical environment, including collaborating with engineers, testing and problem solving.
Preferred
- Experience with various ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, Squarespace, NetSuite.
- Experience with web data and content tools such as Excel, Adobe Creative Suite or Canva preferred.
- Experience with interfacing with vendors or customers to solve challenges.
- Retail operations experience, with specific preference to the home, gift or luxury industries.
- Operational mindset with demonstrable experience defining processes, improving efficiencies and managing critical details on projects.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Supports merchandising strategy by executing on a variety of operational needs including hands-on data and content management.
- Works with existing suppliers to deliver customer satisfaction from the shopping experience to delivery.
- Coordinates with Marriott technical teams, brand, procurement, and retail channel teams on product deployment and distribution.
- Monitors and reports on key performance indicators to track the effectiveness of merchandising initiatives.
- Creates and manages complex project plans to track progress on planned initiatives.
- Oversees operations feature requests and updates on our platforms.
- Manages critical merchandising operations initiatives as needed.
- Develops and sustains relationships with relevant stakeholders across the enterprise.
The salary range for this position is $108,300 to $154,200 annually.
