Cardiologist - Invasive (non-interventional) Anchorage, Alaska Employment Status: Full Time Key Responsibilities Provide outpatient management and inpatient consults Handle advanced disease and challenging pathologies, including advanced valvular disease Conduct telemedicine consults using AFHCAN telemedicine Manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout Alaska Participate in rural community visits 5-6 times per year Qualifications Completion of an ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine Fellowship in Cardiology Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiology Any state license accepted Skills and Attributes Expertise in invasive (non-interventional) cardiology procedures and treatments Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Cultural sensitivity to work with Alaska Native and American Indian populations Work in various clinical settings, including telemedicine and rural outreach Working Conditions Work setting: Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), a Level II Trauma Center Travel required for rural community visits (2-3 days, 5-6 times per year) 10.5 weeks of call required Additional Information Salary: $800,000 base + $100,000 incentive plan 6.5 weeks paid time off, 2 weeks CME, and 12 holidays per year Guaranteed student loan reimbursement Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance $6,000/year CME allowance Retirement savings plan with employer match Sign-on bonus On-campus child care available No state income tax in Alaska and no city sales tax in Anchorage
