Gastroenterologist Anchorage, Alaska Employment Status: Full Time Schedule: M-F 8-5 Coverage Dates Needed: 3/24/25 - 7/11/25 Key Responsibilities - Manage outpatients in clinic - Provide consults for adult inpatients - Perform 15-25 procedures per week - See 10-14 patients in office per day - Handle 7-10 inpatient consults per week Qualifications - MD or DO degree - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology - Valid medical license (Alaska) -COVID vaccine required Skills and Attributes - Expertise in gastroenterological procedures and treatments - Strong patient management skills - Ability to work in a team-oriented environment - Cultural sensitivity to work with Alaska Native and American Indian populations - Adaptability to work in a tertiary referral center Working Conditions - Clinic hours: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday - Friday - Work setting: Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), a Level II Trauma Center - May involve on-call duties implied - Patient Volume: 1/2 day - generally 4 new patients or 7-8 follow-up visits.
