Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Approach all encounters with associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Ensure compliance of all policies and Code of Conduct as specified in the Employee Handbook.
Assist, as needed, with accounts payable job functions including, but not limited to, scanning, filing, data input, statement reconciliation and vendor inquiries.
Assist, as needed, with accounts receivable job functions including, but not limited to, filing, account billing, guest inquiries and responses.
Assist the Assistant Director of Finance and Accounting Manager with daily and month-end general accounting duties.
Assist with month-end closing responsibilities as assigned.
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations as assigned.

Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
Must be able to work with, understand and interpret financial information, hotel operations data, and basic arithmetic functions.
Must be able to prioritize regional, hotel, or departmental functions in order to meet all deadlines.
Long hours sometimes required.
Sedentary work – exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required; prefer college degree.
Some accounting or office experience desired.
Prior hospitality experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office products is required.
Experience with Oracle is preferred.
