Project Consulting Services, Inc. (PCS) is a multi-state engineering, project management, and consulting firm seeking to hire an experienced, skilled Accounting Clerk in its Metairie, Louisiana Corporate office with at least 5 years of previous relevant experience processing payroll and accounts payable. Requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General Requirements

The ability to handle multiple projects in a timely manner.
Proficient and skilled knowledge of Excel spreadsheets/processes.

Payroll Requirements

Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions, and saving deductions.
Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries.
Reviewing employee expense reimbursement requests for adherence to company expense reimbursement policies and processing of related payments.
Practical knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of payroll and withholding tax compliance issues.
Compiling and processing state and federal wage and income tax withholding and compiling and submitting quarterly wage reports.

Accounts Payable Requirements

Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and checks by saving documents properly on the network.
Confirming subcontractor billed working hours and project.
