Description

At EBCO General Contractor, our Accounts Payable Clerks are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities

Reviews and processes monthly subcontractor pay applications, vendor invoices and supplier invoices, accrues necessary sales tax while ensuring all appropriate approvals have been received.
Works closely with subcontractors to attain lower-tiered subcontractor and supplier lien releases.
Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks.
Distributes / mails signed checks as required.
Answers all vendor, supplier, subcontractor and lower-tiered subcontractor inquiries.
Maintains all accounts payable reports and files.
Assists in monthly closings.
Submits weekly open items report and weekly lien notice spreadsheet.
Other duties as required.

Position Requirements

Our ideal candidate:

Proficiency in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Communicates well both verbally and in writing
Strong understanding of debits and credits
Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail
Familiarity with financial processes and procedures
Exemplifies exceptional customer service skills; establishes and maintains positive relationships with subcontractors, owners, owner reps, architects, and engineers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Prior experience in accounts payable or related field is preferred
