The Student Accounts department at Cornish is looking for a Student Accounts Coordinator. This position supports students and the College by managing payment transactions, ranging from student tuition and meal plans to parking permits. This position also assists the Accounts Receivable Specialist with various administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Processes student accounts receivable transactions including:
- tuition, fees, and financial aid payments
- maintaining student filing systems and online contact logs
Provides billing assistance and administrative assistance to the Accounts Receivable Specialist, including calls to students with outstanding accounts.
Maintains the Cashnet online payment system, updating the system each semester as needed, to correctly report account balances. Allows for processing of online payments or payment plans for undergraduate and Cornish+ account balances.
Provides details to students and parents in relation to charges, payment plans, and anticipated financial aid disbursements.
Manages other student funds such as copy machine funds, accepting payments and increasing the balance in a student’s account.
Processes payments and transactions such as donations for Advancement and other department payments/receivables.
Processes payments for Cornish Meal Plan accounts.
Coordinates Parking Permit tracking in shared Google sheet with Security; distributes permits for staff and guest parking; receives and tracks payments for parking tickets; and sends reminders for past due parking tickets.
Coordinates receipt of payments for summer programs; tracks summer housing contracts and payments.
Helps direct visitors and students to find where they need to go.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus two to three years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Positive attitude, excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to engage in minor conflict resolution
Ability to work well with a diverse campus community
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with frequent distractions and interruptions
Attentive to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
Able to work effectively with a minimal amount of supervision
Occasional light lifting
Must pass background check

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
Loan processing and/or teller experience
Experience in a not-for-profit, higher education or arts environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, If, etc)
