Description:

The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support strategic financial planning.

Essential Duties:

Perform general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
Maintains the general ledger.
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit/review.
Ensures that reported financial results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Presents recommendations to management on financial objectives and policies.
Provides financial analysis to operations leadership.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in accounting software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
CPA certification preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of five years of accounting experience required.
Minimum of 1-3 years experience leading an accounting team.
Healthcare experience preferred.
