We are in search of an experienced Accounting Manager with a “can do” attitude to help us on our trajectory of continued growth and market expansion. This is a remote position, supporting our HQ team in Austin, TX. Our Accounting Manager will assume a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and offering strategic insights. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, actively contributing to the company’s overall growth.

If you have 5 to 8 years of professional experience in relevant accounting or accounting management roles, working in growing $30-60mm/year organizations, we are interested in speaking with you.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets, monitor performance against targets, and provide variance analysis.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Cash Management: Optimize cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee treasury functions.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
Process Improvement: Continuously enhance accounting processes and systems.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate external audits and manage audit relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including managerial roles.
Experience in managing staff.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Excellent English communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Strategic mindset with a focus on process optimization.
Experience in professional services or software/technology industries preferred.

Working hours: office hours Monday to Friday (8AM-5PM CST)

Being able to work in a quiet space with access to a computer and headset in good working conditions.

Advanced use of Excel, including use of pivot tables.
Demonstrated track record in assembling, nurturing, and guiding a geographically diverse team of top-notch accounting professionals.
Proficient communicator, adept at conveying intricate business concepts and navigating complex situations through both written and verbal channels.
Skillfully engages with stakeholders and the leadership team to ensure clarity and alignment.
